The Harris and Klauber Children

Tin Cup, CO, was a rip roaring mining town in the 1880s, but not a healthy place. Two Jewish families named Harris and Klauber ran stores there. The Harris family lost four children and the Klaubers two between 1882 and 1886. A small Jewish knoll at the town cemetery is their final resting place. Townspeople have restored this and adjoining Protestant and Catholic areas of the cemetery.
